I recently did a Home Energy Rating under the New York Energy Star New Home Program and found outstanding results in its air filtration with the installed Energsmart Insulation.
In reviewing my records going back to the beginning of the program, I find that this home has the best result to date.
Your product and its proper installation helped this home reach a rating of 91.7, which equates to a 58.5% improvement over a home built to standard code. While there are many things that go into the rating score, your product appears to reduce the infiltration factor by about 50%.
As far as I can determine, this home has the second best rating in the area since the beginning of the program. This home qualified for a Tier 2 Incentive of $1,000 from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
Thanks for bringing your product to the marketplace. It has made our job much easier.

Energsmart's foam insulation was by far the best upgrade, "investment-wise," that we made in the construction of our new house. Some of the benefits we are now realizing are:
- Reduction in furnace size our HVAC subcontractor reduced our furnace size from a 125,000 btu to a 95,000 btu unit because of the insulating performance of the foam.
- No drafts totally eliminated any air movement from the outside to the inside of the house, making a setting of 62 degrees feel warmer than a 70 degree setting at our previous house.
- Sound deadening our house is located in an open field with no trees or other homes to block the wind. We were amazed at how quiet it is inside the house during the windstorms we have had this season. Many times, we had no clue about the weather outside until we either looked out the window or opened a door.
Finally, working with John and Bob and their experienced professional crew was an absolute pleasure; they delivered on time, what they promised, with no surprises. Anyone that has built or is building a new house and deals with subcontractors would tell you how very important this type of commitment and dedication is.
We want to thank the entire staff at Energsmart for a job well done.
Sincerely,
Tammy & Al Mack

We just wanted to take a second to thank you for a job well done at our house in Gasport. We are absolutely amazed at the energy savings we are getting at our house.
We added 1,700 sq ft to our house making it 2,800 sq ft so we expected our gas bill would double along with all of the other costs. In a winter where the average gas bill was $300 or more, our gas bills did not go above $230 only about $50 more than what it cost to heat our house before the addition.
We are truly amazed.
I also love the foam because it cuts back on a tremdous amount of noise. Especially when we decided to go ahead with insulating the garage ceiling directly under the master bedroom it masks the noise very nicely. My parents' house has the same setup, but with fiberglass, and it is much louder in their bedroom.
I am constantly recommending the foam insulation to everyone. It is well worth the investment. I am very confident that within a short amount of time we will be seeing our money back ten-fold since we are experiencing such a savings already.
I have to say that of all the sub-contractors we used, Energsmart was by far the most courteous, responsive, and on time of them all.
Thank you again.
